Metro searching for man who was nearby during motel shooting on Ogeechee Rd.

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

24-year-old Jarvis Whitehead was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting on Ogeechee Road, Friday night.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police found 29-year-old Dominique Larry of Savannah suffering from a gunshot wound at the Stallion Motel on the 4000 block of Ogeechee Road around 9:15 p.m. Friday. He was transported to Memorial in critical condition where he later died.

Investigators identified Whitehead as a suspect in the shooting. Whitehead was arrested during a warrant service at a ferry dock on Hutchinson Island. He is facing murder charges along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime.

Police are now looking for another man who they say was in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.
