TATTNALL CO., GA (WTOC) -

Friends and former classmates came together to grieve over a young man lost.

They gathered at Tattnall County High School to remember Ethan Alexander.  He's one of two young people shot and killed in an apartment in Statesboro.

Police do not believe anyone else was involved, but they are still trying to figure out what happened and if it was by accident or intentional.

"I definitely think something accidental could have happened. After that, things may have went to chance. We're never really going to ever know. You never think somebody like Ethan that you've known your whole life would have been in that situation,” said Tattnall County High School Coach Ben Collins.

Alexander graduated in 2014 and was enrolled at Georgia Southern in Statesboro.
