SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Memorial Board showing support tonight for CEO Maggie Gill and her team.

This was the first meeting since Novant Health backed out of partnership negotiations last week. This meeting was to try to alleviate any tension between both the Chatham County Hospital Authority and the Memorial Board, and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Members voted to adopt a resolution of thanks to CEO Maggie Gill and her team members.

"The team feels like we've lost our way a bit, and instead of focusing on we're doing it for the right reasons. Those reasons are so that we can continue to take care of the patients who come to us, who can't go anywhere else, then we felt like we need a check,” said Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer Mary Chatman, Ph. D., RN.

Now, board members are still hopeful a deal with Novant is still salvageable.
