The National Weather Service-Charleston sent a team to Bloomingdale to survey damage from severe storms in the area that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
The report confirms that a tornado touched down near Pop Shear House Road at approximately 4:09 p.m. on Tuesday.
The survey team found damage consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Maximum winds are estimated to have reached 90 to 95 miles per hour.
The tornado’s path last one mile, touching down near Pop Shear House Road and lifting near Jimmy DeLoach Parkway.
