‘Mending the Line’ screening next week at Ft. Stewart, HAAF

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Friday, World War II veteran Frank Moore met with fellow veterans and soldiers at Johnny Harris Restaurant.

Next week, his documentary, “Mending the Line”, about going back to the French countryside and towns he traveled through as a soldier during World War II will be screened at Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart.

Alongside his wife of 70 years, Jeanne, Moore is traveling across the U.S. to share the story of his journey.

"I didn't realize what PTSD was but it talks a little bit about that and how love brought me out of it. And that's one thing I think really helps a lot of the young fellows seeing this because they realize that they can come out of it, and I have,” said Moore.

Besides serving our country, 90-year-old Moore is also an angling celebrity! He was recently inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

"Mending the Line" will be screened Monday at Fort Stewart and Tuesday at Hunter.
