STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - U.S. Forces killed a Taliban leader in Pakistan over the weekend with a drone. The strike on Akhtar Muhammad Mansour drew a mixed response from Pakistan leaders who say they were not notified of the planned attack.
Republicans like Georgia Congressman Rick Allen praised the military but also criticized President Obama's policy on such attacks.
"I hand it to our Special Forces and intel guys. They're doing tremendous work and they're doing it under restraints posed by this administration," said Allen.
President Obama called Mansour's death an important milestone.
