RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) -

Everyone was invited out to the Memorial Day event at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Here's what a local Vietnam War Veteran shared about what Memorial Day means to him.

"I try not to miss these, because two guys that I went to school with in Richmond Hill got killed in Vietnam. Two guys from Richmond Hill were born and raised in Richmond Hill, got killed in Vietnam. One of their names was Harry Lebows, and the other guy was Larry Cusper. They were both born and raised right here. Went off to war and did not come back,” said Donald Singleton, Vietnam War Veteran.

We want to thank Donald Singleton and all of the other soldiers for their service. Monday’s observance also included a posting of the colors and a touching wreath-laying ceremony.
