Tropical Storm Colin: Midnight briefing from the NWS

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

According to the midnight briefing on Tropical Storm Colin from the National Weather Service, as of 11 p.m. on Monday, TS Colin was 230 miles SW of Savannah. It was traveling NE at 22 mph with max winds of 50 mph.  

There is an elevated flooding threat, with the possibility of 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, especially near the coast north of Beaufort, SC.

A tropical storm warning is still in effect for all coastal land areas and all Atlantic waters from the Altamaha River to the South Santee River, including the Charleston Harbor.
