Two Savannah Men Killed in Two Accidents

Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating two deadly accidents that occurred within hours of each other.

Around seven o'clock on Saturday night, 33 year old James Johnson from Savannah died after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a guard rail. The accident happened on Interstate 516 and Veterans' Parkway. Police believe he may have been speeding.

Three hours later, 20 year old David Hilderbrand was killed on the Truman Parkway. Investigators say Hilderbrand was speeding when he lost control of his Oldsmobile Cutlass, ran off the road, hit the guard rail and flipped over. It happened near the De Lesseps Avenue exit around ten o'clock. Hilderbrand died instantly. Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt.
