SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Volunteers with the Savannah Red Cross are helping the victims, families and first responders of the tragedy in Orlando.
Some are assisting at a call center, others are transporting blood and one specifically is serving as the spiritual lead at an emergency center.
"The Red Cross has been on the scene since 8 a.m. on Sunday morning. We had volunteers there canteening and being there for the first responders and the victims and the loved ones," said American Red Cross Development Officer Victoria Ten Broeck.
Red Cross volunteers are not just in Orlando. Ten Broeck tells us there's 10 helping out after flooding in Texas, and there's one assisting with wildfires in Canada.
