SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Locals showed their support Wednesday for the victims of Sunday’s massacre in Orlando where 49 innocent people were shot and killed.

There was an amazing turnout at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church in Savannah. In fact, there was not an empty seat in sight.

The service was led by Minister Billy Hester. Together, they sang and prayed for the victims and their loved ones.

“Many people are not able to accept other people for what they are and, because of that, they who inflict harm on others are able to justify what they have done,” said Ginger Miles, who was in attendance at the service.

Asbury is known for taking a strong stand against gun violence.

The church has been raising awareness of gun violence through its Ribbons for a Reason campaign since 2015.
