SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - As family and loved ones watched on, 54 cadets graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Savannah.
This after completing the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course.
Some of the cadets will now head on to train with departments like Pooler and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police to become an officer in the future.
"I want to see the smile on people's faces when they know that I'm protecting them. I think that's the most humbling experience as a police officer, is to know that the people around you, in your community, for me, it would be my precinct or my beat, to let them know that I'm protecting them," said CPSTC Cadet Jarrett Wolfe.
Not only does the Georgia Public Safety Training Center prepare people to become police officers, they offer training to become a firefighter as well.
