GLENNVILLE, GA (WTOC) - A block of debris still reminds folks in Glennville of the devastating fire that hit the downtown area two weeks ago.
They say Rome wasn't built in a day. These tons of rubble and debris can't be moved in a day either.
What they've managed to do is sort out much of the metal that can be recycled or kept out of a landfill. Tuesday, the building owners, the city and county will meet to talk about how to start getting this out of here and where to take it.
In the meantime, Central Pharmacy has set up across the street from their building that was gutted by fire. Also, Woods Auction has set up across town for their weekly auctions. Both are pushing forward to serve customers and get back up and running.
Also, the suspect in this arson, Jonathan Culbreth, remains in the Tattnall County jail waiting for a bond hearing in Superior Court.
Of course, we'll keep you updated on that and other time tables in this story as they develop.
