A boot drive is being held Saturday for Thunderbolt firefighter Kevin Morgan.

He was recently diagnosed with cancer, and although the prognosis is good, his coworkers want to raise money to help him with medical bills.

Morgan is a father of two and he also has one on the way.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Thunderbolt Fire Department will be out at Victory Drive and Whatley Avenue-- near Parkers - hosting a boot drive.

Morgan's co-workers say he is a great asset to the department and a beloved brother.

"He's been here for over a year. However, we've just bonded and we've gotten very close with him and his family. He's a great guy, just a great asset to the Thunderbolt Fire Department and the town of Thunderbolt,” said Brooke Dicks, Thunderbolt Fire Department.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Morgan family.
