Voluntary separations to be offered at Gulfstream

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

More Gulfstream employees could soon be without a job.

We have received many calls to our newsroom. So far, we have learned the company is offering voluntary separations for its employees, company-wide. The separations will include a severance package.

Sources say letters will be mailed out to employees this week.

Again, none of this is confirmed with Gulfstream.

You may also remember Gulfstream just had a round of layoffs this past December.

Gulfstream sent a statement to WTOC on Monday afternoon:

As part of Gulfstream’s ongoing efforts to appropriately size our workforce and ensure the company’s continued success, we are offering select employees the option to participate in a voluntary separation program. The program takes effect in mid-August and is available to U.S.-based employees working in support roles.

Employees who are eligible for the program have been provided extensive information as well as financial planning resources to assist them in making the decision that is best for them and their family. The benefits employees receive depend on individual eligibility criteria and will include separation pay and benefits extensions.
