PARRIS ISLAND (WTOC) - The Marine Corps is investigating allegations of hazing, assault and physical abuse involving 15 drill instructors at Marine Corps Recruit Depot – Parris Island.
Officials say the allegations stem from an investigation into the death of recruit, Raheel Siddiqui back in March.
Officials say the investigation has revealed a drill instructor was improperly placed in charge of recruits. They say interim corrective actions have already been taken.
All of the drill instructors under investigation are currently assigned to duties that do not involve direct access to recruits.
