The boil advisory for Hampton Hall in Bluffton has now been suspended.
Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority still suggests that residents flush their systems by running bathtubs and sinks for 10 minutes or until the water runs clear.
The advisory went into effect Wednesday after those living in Hampton Hall complained about discolored water.
BJWSA then investigated the situation and determined that some pond water had backed up into the system through an unauthorized irrigation system connection.
The agency then disconnected the irrigation system and then sent samples of the water off to be examined.
The sample results came back Thursday night. The water was not contaminated, and therefore, the boil water advisory was lifted.
