BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -

Residents got the chance to sound off about a proposed development project in Bulloch County on Thursday.

Standing room only at the Planning and Zoning Committee meeting as the developer and engineer spoke about what they want to do with 4,000 acres.

They talked about bringing companies that would add jobs and tax revenue, but neighbors who live near the site questioned what it would do for them. The committee voted to recommend against the project.

Opponents saying it just left out too many details.

"Things like infrastructure concerns, quality of life concerns, what happens to the water table, wildlife, the water shed. It seemed like for the larger part, the developer didn't have answers for those questions,” said Attorney Matt Hube.

The developer did not want to comment or answer our questions Thursday night.

The ultimate vote will come from county commissioners in August.
