STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

The Georgia Southern University football team will have to vacate three wins total from the 2013 and 2014 seasons after a recently completed two-year NCAA investigation.

Georgia Southern will vacate 2013 wins versus Savannah State University and St. Francis (PA) in the 2013 season under Head Coach Jeff Monken.

The 2014 UL-Monroe win in 2014 will be vacated under then Head Coach Willie Fritz, but the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Championship will not be affected.

These two cases of improper help to three students happened early in the 2013 season and the other late in 2014. In 2013, the university discovered a staff member had given class notes and past assignments to a player, who turned some of it in as his own.

In 2014, a different staff member uploaded extra credit work for two players without their knowledge. The university fired both and suspended at least one of those players.

The NCAA placed the Eagles on probation, levied a hefty fine, and reduced the number of contacts coaches can have with high school recruits.
