SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting after three people were shot outside of the Live Oak Apartments on Waters Avenue near Montgomery Crossroad early Sunday morning.
Police say one male victim is now dead, and two are injured.
Officials say Michael Riley,18, was arrested and charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault for the shooting.
Upon arrival at 2:30 a.m., police found 22-year-old Joshua Lewis, 19-year-old George Thorpe, and 18-year-old Terrell Bonds all suffering from gunshot wounds.
Lewis and Thorpe were transported to Memorial for treatment, where Lewis later died. Thorpe was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Bonds was taken by private vehicle for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
Police say this incident was not a random act. Investigators were able to determine that all parties involved were previously acquainted.
This is an ongoing investigation.
