SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A very special AMBUCS giveaway on Monday night.
Five amtrykes given to deserving kids and adults at Knights of Columbus. A lot of them, getting on three wheels for the first time in their lives.
The trykes are specially made for each recipient, allowing them to be mobile and get outside to spend more time with their loved ones.
"Just to see her get this far and be able to be on a bike and to do all she's doing now, it's just amazing to me," said Pamela Cotton, mother of Amtryke recipient.
"He's been able to try to ride a two-wheel bike with training wheels, but it takes so much energy for him to you know, stay upright and everything that he's not able to enjoy it as often. But this is awesome because he's going to be able to enjoy it. He's going to be able to just be more like a regular kid," said Stacia Messbarger, mother of Amtryke recipient.
