RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) -

Multiple fires burned along the railroad tracks that cross Belfast-Keller Road in Richmond Hill Thursday afternoon.

Officials say it took several firefighting services to contain the flames.

Bryan County Emergency Services told us about how it started.

"Went anywhere from a mile to two miles down this track. Probably started by a wheel that locked up and sparked. We had Georgia Forestry on scene, as well as the Central Georgia Railroad, and they're assisting us with putting out this fire today," said Bryan County Fire Chief Freddy Howell.

The fire official adds no homes were in any danger from the fires.
