SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System said they are still making adjustments when it comes to the bus management changes.
The school system took over managing the bus system this school year. So far, officials say they are still working to hire more drivers and have just added more people to answer calls from concerned parents.
Deputy Superintendent Vanessa Kaigler explained that it is a work in progress.
"We are still working through some of our routing issues. Staffing is still down. We have about ten candidates in what we refer to as our intern program, which will be eligible for the necessary testing and credentialing for the role. So, we are hoping to see that towards the end of next week," she said.
Kaigler said parents should continue to check their child's bus routes because they are still making changes.
