CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Delta delays continue late Wednesday night at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

All departing flights have taken off, but some arrivals are still making their way in hours later. For the flight getting in around 9:30 p.m., it seemed its passengers were relieved.

Through the passenger plane windows, you can see the passengers as they filed off the flight that got in from Atlanta an hour later than it was supposed to. And this wasn't the only delayed flight coming into the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport on Wednesday.

Major hubs across the country with cancellations and delays trickled down to smaller feeder airports like this one since Monday because of the outage.

One woman described her long journey from out west, while another passenger described what he saw other travelers going through in Atlanta.

"When we got to the airport in Denver, we found out that our flight was delayed six hours. And that would put us getting in here really late at night, too late for a five-year-old,” said Jennifer Hyer.

"There were a few groups of people who seem to not have a flight in their future. I even heard some people saying they were going to be on a plane that day. So there are some groups of people that seemed pretty upset. It was a whole flights worth of people upset about it,” said Mark Oppenheimer, traveling from Atlanta.

Both of those passengers did say Delta has been very accommodating through the whole ordeal, compensating them and others for their troubles.
