BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

A Beaufort County woman was sentenced to 45 years in prison in connection to the death of the father of one of her children.

Jasmine N. Femia, 23, was found guilty of murder and conspiracy in the shooting death of Nicholas Degros.

He was shot multiple times outside his home in January of 2015.

Femia orchestrated Degro’s death by manipulating her co-defendant, Anthony Ellison, to shoot Degros. Femia purchased the weapon and rented the vehicle used in the murder.

According to the prosecutor, she gave Degros whereabouts to Ellison and made sure they both went to Wal-Mart following the shooting to have an alibi.

Ellison plead guilty to murder and conspiracy charges earlier. He was sentenced to 38 years in prison on Thursday.
