SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A vigil was held Wednesday night to remember a man shot and killed over the weekend in Savannah.
Daniel Landy, 29, died after he was allegedly shot by Brandon Fuller Friday night outside of the One Stop Shop on 37th Street.
Family and friends of the victim gathering at that spot tonight to remember him and call for an end to violence.
Landy's mother tells us he was a sweetheart. A caring person with a good heart and that he will not be forgotten.
"We came out here to say enough is enough and we're going to stand on it and keep going on it until it gets better. They took the wrong son. I have a good son. A hard-working son that worked two jobs. Not a street guy son. Run his record," said Vernita Robinson, Landy's mother.
The victim's family tells us Landy was taking care of his girlfriend's daughter and shared words with Fuller, also the baby's father, outside of the One Stop Shop before he was shot and killed.
Since the shooting, bond has been denied for Fuller.
His next court date is scheduled for September.
