SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A water drive was held Friday ahead of this weekend's memorial baseball tournament in Savannah.

Folks headed out to White Bluff Elementary to make sure they have all the H2O they'll need for the Fireball 40 event.

The annual tournament is in remembrance Cory Wilson, who died in 2013 due to a fatal cardiac arrhythmia while in class at Georgia Southern.

There was no AED nearby at that time.

The tournament is now held every year with proceeds going towards purchasing AED's for the community.

"We have always believed that we should pay it forward. We lived like that before Cory died and now it's as though the community is paying it forward to us,” said Lisa Wilson, Cory’s mother.

The tournament is all weekend long, beginning Saturday with an opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m. and first game at 9.

It's at L. Scott Stell Park on Bush Road. Admission is $5 and kids five and under get in for free.
