NAACP Savannah to discuss Use of Force at mass meeting with local police

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah Branch NAACP is hosting a mass meeting Sunday in a continued effort to improve relationships between the police force and the community.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Chief Joseph Lumpkin, Tybee Island Police Chief Robert Bryson, and Garden City Police Chief David Lyons have all been invited to speak on the Use of Force and relationships between police and the community.

Chief Bryson will also outline the presentation of the President's Task Force on 21st Century Policing which he attended in July.

The meeting is open to the public. It will begin at 4 p.m. at the historic Bolton Street Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in Savannah.
