City of Savannah suspends all non-essential city services on Friday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The City of Savannah has suspended all non-essential services, including Sanitation pickup, on Friday due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Hermine.

City offices and programs will be closed to the public on Friday. Police, Fire and Emergency services will remain operational.

In case of an emergency, residents should call 911 immediately.

The City of Savannah has also asked everyone to avoid driving if possible.
