#UPDATE: Hermine has been downgraded from a hurricane back to a tropical storm.

Hurricane Hermine has made landfall in NW Florida's Big Bend near the closest point of reference Wakulla Beach and St. Marks.

The Category One storm made landfall with 80 mph hour winds and continues to move northeast at 14 mph.

The path of the storm is still on track to pass directly over Pearson, Baxley, Brooklet, the Springfield and Hampton County. Heavy rain is still expected and high winds still projected, especially along our coastline.

Some of the highest wind reports were out of the cone in Florida along the EAST COAST!  A report just south of Daytona Beach had a wind gust of 53 miles per hour. Winds as high, if not higher, are expected Friday for Hilton Head, Tybee, and down the coast.
