The National Weather Service office in Charleston has classified two tornadoes that were spawned Friday morning by rotating thunderstorms within a feeder-band of former Hurricane Hermine in Georgia.
Both tornadoes were assigned the EF-1 rating, meaning wind speeds were between 86 to 110 mph.
An EF-1 tornado occurred near Skidaway Island in Chatham County. This tornado reached a maximum width of 350 yards and was on the ground for 1.67 miles.
Another EF-1 tornado occurred near Riceboro in Liberty County; reaching a maximum width of 650 yards and was on the ground for 4.83 miles.
