WAYNE CO., GA (WTOC) -

The cleanup continues in several places across our region, including Wayne County.

The calendar might say Labor Day but this crew and others spent the day picking up the debris of Tropical Storm Hermine.

Late Friday and all day Saturday, it was about getting the trees pushed out of the road so folks could get through. Monday, it was about coming back and picking up what they moved.

“They've been at it all day. They haven't slowed down since the morning that it hit. They've been out just about 24 hours pushing trees out of the way,” said Wayne County EMA Director Donnie Ray.

They'll continue to do this trying to get everything clear. They still aren't sure how long it will take but they'll keep on working until they're done.
