Voting Precinct Changes

Public Notice is hereby given that the Chatham County Board of Elections proposes the realignment the following polling places for all future elections beginning with the Special Election scheduled for September 20, 2005:

Precinct 1 -1: First Presbyterian Church
Precinct 1-2: Charles Ellis School
These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:
First Presbyterian Church
520 E. Washington Avenue

Precinct 1-4: Jacob G-Smith School
Precinct 1-5: J.E.A. Building
These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:
J.E.A. Building
5111 Abercom Street

Precinct 1-6; Faith Lutheran Church
Precinct 1-7: Virginia Heard School
These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:
Faith Lutheran Church
5995 Waters Avenue

Precinct 2-4: Gospel Temple

These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:

These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:

Precinct 8-1; Savannah Civic Center
Precinct 8-4: Yamacraw Community Center
These precincts will be combined and voting will be held at:
Savannah Civic Center
301 W, Oglethorpe Avenue

These proposed realignments are scheduled to be adopted at the Board of Elections next regular meeting, scheduled Monday, May 9, 2005 at 4pm. The meeting will be held at 1117-D Eisenhower Drive. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Any person objecting to the proposed realignments must file their objections with the Chatham County Board of Elections prior to 4pm on May 9, 2005 at the elections office 1117-D Eisenhower Drive, or by calling 912.201.4375.
