MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -

In McIntosh County, the Georgia Department of Agriculture conducted another inspection at the Humane Animal Resource Team's animal shelter on August 22, and we now have those results.

HART failed the inspection in four areas: record-keeping, adequate drainage, ensuring structural strength on animal enclosures and keeping healthy and sick animals separated.

The department issued a stop movement on the shelter – meaning it cannot accept animals from the county's animal control officer.

We spoke to Hannah DeSoto, the shelter's acting president, who says they're continuing to work on the violations and hope to accept animals soon.
