Metro police investigate double shooting in Tatemville neighborhood

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after two people were shot on Sherman Avenue in the Tatemville neighborhood Wednesday night. 

Officials say Metro officers responded to the 900 block of Sherman Avenue after a reported gunfire exchange between a victim and two armed robbery suspects. Police located one adult male shooting victim nearby on the 800 block of Garey Avenue who was transported by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition. Soon after, they say another adult male shooting victim arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, as well as any links between the three parties involved. Detectives say they believe this was a targeted shooting between previously acquainted individuals.
