CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Savannah city crews are working hard almost a week later, still cleaning up after Tropical Storm Hermine.

You're asked to do your part in helping the clean-up effort by following regular yard waste set-out guidelines. Cut debris to 4-foot length and neatly stack it at the regular point of collection.

We caught up with one storm removal crew in the Coffee Bluff area.

"Just asking for the residents and everyone to be patient with us. It's real rough coming through seeing all those bags, it is crazy,” said Kelvin Grant, a sanitation driver.

City officials say debris should not be placed on the street and that large piles may not be picked up immediately.

Chatham County Public Works is also continuing the clean-up of debris. The county says you are welcome to take debris to county landfills, but they ask for your patience as there have been long lines to get to the facilities.
