SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Crews responded to an accident on Berwick Plantation Friday afternoon in Savannah.

No serious injuries were reported, but one person was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Some residents in the community have been complaining about this section for years but say that county commissioners have been unresponsive to their concerns.

They say the intersection, right in front of Kroger has been a problem area for years. Although Friday's wreck was minor, something worse could happen in the near future.

“It's been requested to by the county that they repaint the lines of these roads. A lot of the pedestrian crosswalks are faded. The lines right here in front of us where the accident happened, they don't, they're not clear and they don't direct traffic very well,” said Mark Schreiber, a resident of Berwick.

WTOC reached out to County Commissioners about the residents' issues regarding the faded lines on the roads, they say they have not received any complaints about the intersection. They plan to find out where those complaints went and what happened to them.

They will start looking into it Monday and find out what needs to be taken care of.
