POOLER, GA (WTOC) - Construction on Pooler's new City Hall is just about complete.
They are already moving in furniture.
Mayor Mike Lamb says this new, three-story building has more space and it also gives the police department a headquarters. City offices are located on the second floor and the council chamber is on the third floor.
The site along Highway 80 was clear for construction last July.
"We've been excited for many years. This has been a process we looked at for several years. We had the drawings out, people have seen them and they liked the traditional look. What they do like, especially, is we're putting it in the middle of historic Pooler," said Mayor Lamb.
Mayor Lamb said everyone should be moved in the week of November 14.
Pooler's City Council meeting will be held the following week and the building will be ready for voters come election time.
