The Statesboro Police Department has made another arrest related to an armed robbery and the aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer that occurred on Chandler Road.
On Sept. 18, around 11 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery call at an apartment in the Renaissance Apartments on Chandler Rd.
Two Georgia Southern University Police officers located the offenders in the Chandler Heights Apartments and chased the suspects on foot. During the pursuit, one of the suspects fired a shot at an officer. Neither officer was hit.
The suspects fled into a wooded area behind the apartments. After an extensive search of the area, James Edward Prescott and Troy K. Randall were taken into custody without incident.
Through further investigation, additional offenders were identified, Tevin O’Neal Myles and Ebony Shantrice Clark, and secured warrants for their arrest. Myles was already being held in the Bulloch County Jail on unrelated charges.
Clark was arrested by the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office for the warrants from this incident and later transported to the Bulloch County Jail to await further action.
