A Bulloch County woman convicted of murdering her husband in 1998 will get a new trial. The Georgia Court of Appeals granted the new trial to Tylene Sammons based on a technicality.
Sammons says she was never consulted about the replacement of a juror in her first trial in March of 1999. Her attorneys approved the move.
Sammons was convicted of shooting her husband, Cooper Sammons, then running over him with a truck.
No word on possible dates for the new trial.
