SAV/HHI Int'l Airport terminal will reopen on Monday

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - (Update: Oct. 8, 9:45 p.m.): The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is prepared for customers and the resumption of commercial air service on Monday, Oct. 10.

Airport officials say as soon as it is possible for customers to safely navigate the routes to the airport, and pending authorization from state and local authorities to reopen the roadways, they hope to have parking and rental car services available Sunday.

Airport customers who have parked at SAV will also be able to pick up their vehicles once the roadways are reopened. The parking decks are clear and there was no debris or flooding from the storm.

Please check with the airlines for a schedule and to confirm reservations.


The Savannah terminal building at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport will be closed with no public access from 12 a.m. Friday through 8 a.m. Sunday.

There will be no public access to the terminal building during this time.
