BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) - The Beaufort School District Superintendent announced during a press conference that schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Moss is hoping for a Wednesday re-open. The district is trying to give a 48-hour notice of closures.
The most damage was at Beaufort High School, with leaks in the roof.
According to Moss, Beaufort County is prepping for re-entry, getting two shelters ready at Whale Branch High and Bluffton High. He says they should be open around 5 p.m. Sunday.
IF these schools remain shelters beyond Wednesday, they cannot open during that time.
