CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department, along with Georgia State Patrol, recovered a stolen vehicle and gun Tuesday from an armed robbery that happened on Oct. 2.
GSP spotted a stolen vehicle at the intersection of 36th and Florance streets around 1 a.m.
GSP followed the vehicle until the two collided in the 8100 block of Abercorn Street. Three occupants were located inside the vehicle and all transported to Memorial University Medical Center with minor injuries.
Frederick Washington, 17, was charged with theft by receiving stolen auto and theft by receiving stolen firearm. He was also charged with several traffic-related charges by GSP.
Alfonzo Alexander, 18, was arrested on an unrelated warrant from the Chatham County Sheriff's Office and several traffic-related charges from GSP.
The incident remains under investigation.
