SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A local business going the extra mile to help folks in the community after the hurricane.

Curbie Sanitation is still without power but they haven't skipped a beat since the storm. In fact – in a way – you could say they temporarily expanded their services.

Employees of the family owned business were out clearing Shipyard Road just hours after the storm. They are also helping folks who are now trying to get rid of spoiled food

"The biggest message right now, if we can't make it to your area because a truck won't go through, bring your trash to us, you don't even have to be a Curbie customer. We are just looking to make sure everyone is taking care of as good as possible because all of those freezers now have bad food,” said Marsha Joy, with Curbie Sanitation.
