CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) - While many had to evacuate for Hurricane Matthew, the Chatham County Animal Control stayed behind, helping families by caring for their pets while they were gone.
But one little kitten survived the hurricane out all by himself.
Meet Storm, who is just weeks old. He was found out on Highway 80 near Tybee Island after the storm by Chatham County Animal Control and brought to the shelter.
"Yes, Little Storm, did quite a good job making it through the storm, because he didn't have any shelter around. But this little guy maybe lost a mom or something because he was kind of desperate and crying," said Kelly Sirevicius.
Storm will hopefully be ready for adoption by the end of this week.
Animal Control is in desperate need of kitty litter after Hurricane Matthew. They could also use any dog food, wet or dry. Pedigree brand preferred.
