BOE Mulls $11 Million Budget Shortfall

The Savannah-Chatham Board of Education is busy crunching numbers. At a budget workshop this morning, members of the school board went over the 2006 school budget.

They predict they'll come up about $11 million short. Some of the ways they're proposing to make up for the loss include putting two more children in each kindergarten class and increasing the number of routes each school bus makes.
