Bond Set for Driver in Levy Wreck

Raymond Kelly, Jr. Raymond Kelly, Jr.

The man police say is responsible for killing six people in a Low Country accident remains behind bars this morning. Raymond Kelly, Jr., 20, of Hardeeville, appeared for a bond hearing last night. The judge set his bond at $350,000.

The judge said 60 percent of that bond would need to be posted before Kelly could be released.

The highway patrol says Kelly crossed the center line on Highway 170 Alternate in Levy on April 30, colliding with a Honda coming from the other direction. All four people inside the Honda were killed and two people died in Kelly's truck.

Kelly is facing numerous charges including six counts of felony DUI and two counts of felony child endangerment. Kelly faces up to 25 years in jail for every felony conviction.
