SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Some leaders of the City of Savannah are voicing their displeasure with a prominent utility service and their performance following Hurricane Matthew.

Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach and District 4th Alderman Julian Miller both commented on how they believe Comcast has dropped the ball with service restoration and scheduling for their constituents across the city.

"If you tell them you're going to be there on a Tuesday, and you're not there on a Friday and you're not there this week, and you're hoping to get it done by tomorrow that doesn't work for folks out there,” said Mayor DeLoach.

"Comcast has a responsibility to respond to those customers. I've been getting calls from constituents who have businesses that are suffering, who have employees that are suffering because they don't have the communication,” said Alderman Miller.

Alderman Miller says at this point, there isn't much the city can do, but he adds they can look at expanding their options in the future.
