SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah city officials want your input in a housing study.

The Community Planning and Development Department is beginning an “Assessment of Fair Housing” to identify patterns of integration and segregation.

There will be two community workshops as well as an online survey, running now through November 18.

Based on the research findings, the assessment will propose fair and affordable housing strategies to overcome the fair housing barriers.

"It is our hope that we're able to provide affordable, decent housing to all of our citizens. So what we're looking for from this survey is honest, truthful answers that will help the city of Savannah make those informed decisions,” said Community Planning and Development Director Kerri Reid.

The survey is anonymous. Again, you take it online.

The first Community Workshop is Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Coastal Georgia Center.
