Savannah-Chatham police are searching for a suspect in connection with the city's latest homicide. About 12:45am this morning, police were notified of a shooting in a house on Rogers Street at the corner of Carolan, just north of West Bay Street.
Police officers found Ervin Law suffering from at least one gunshot wound. They called for emergency medical help, but EMTs discovered Law was already dead.
Police say the victim got into a struggle with another man who followed him into the house and shot him. Witnesses say the gunman was seen running north on Carolan.
Detectives questioned witnesses into the early hours of the morning. At least two young children live in the house along with another man and woman.
